Social Imperatives for Better education: Putting Wisdom on the Agenda

 Educators must adapt the institutions in which they work to ensure students' wisdom is developed. They should recognize and articulate the current educational context, broaden their perspective of education, be prepared to provide financial support to both individuals and organizations, and recognize that the social imperative for change must become the driving force behind public education. They should also acknowledge significant educational settings other than school, and seek to nurture the spirit as well as the mind.
